You will go through a selection process to match you with a suitable Befriendee , either one to one or in a group.

You will be trained by qualified staff.

You will receive on going support and out of pocket expenses.

You can also be put forward for the recognised Certificate in Community Volunteering which can enhance your CV for jobs, and or university places. This certificate recognises the general skills and attributes that volunteers need to carry out their role effectively.
Volunteer Responsibilities.

To be reliable and meet regularly with the matched person or group.

To contact staff and Befriendee when there is a change of circumstances.

To be willing to participate in activities the Befriendee wishes to pursue.

To suggest new activities when appropriate.

To communicate with staff regularly. Give regular written feedback and attend individual support meetings and groups.

To respect the confidentiality of the Befriendee.
