Clydesdale Befriending Group for Adults with Learning Disabilities
Visit our News page to see the latest information.
We are a voluntary organisation who provide Befriendees with the opportunities to take a fuller and more satisfying part in their community thereby working towards social inclusion.
We are based in the Clydesdale area and want to promote social inclusion of adults with learning disabilities through establishing a befriending service that will match Befriendees with volunteer Befrienders in order to provide social support.
Clydesdale Befriending Group will arrange for group participation events and activities whereby adults with learning disabilities will contribute to community projects and participate alongside other members of the local community.
It is our objective to recruit, train and supervise volunteer Befrienders and match them with Befriendees.
This undertaking is supported by a voluntary Board of Management and an advisory group of Befriendees.
